"I've been working with Angela for the past 6+ months. I started working with her part of the way through my senior year of high school, and now I'm in college. Initially, I was hoping that she would provide a specific list of what I should and should not eat. However, she had a much better approach: Instead, she has helped me develop the skills I need to make these decisions myself, in any particular environment, which means I will have these skills for the rest of my life, and I will not be bound to a specific list of foods or any specific, rigid diet.
She has helped me learn to identify what foods contain certain nutrients and has taught me to select combinations of foods that contain the complete spectrum of nutrients I need to stay healthy, without eating too many calories. She has also recommended foods and meal timings (i.e. when to eat meals) that will work to balance my insulin levels and maintain a stable blood sugar throughout the day, and she has helped me figure out what amount of water I should drink on a daily basis and what vitamins I should take, based on a blood test I had a few weeks prior to calling Angela. For me, she only recommended one specific vitamin, not the cocktail of vitamin recommendations I have read about on the Internet.
Overall, I have found Angela to be an expert in her field (nutrition and wellness) who has provided me with invaluable advice. Successful weight loss (or achieving any other dietary goal) will require adherence to Angela's advice and recommended best practices. For me, that meant (in part) that I had to stop feasting at late hours and (occasionally) binging on chocolate chip cookies. Of course, Angela also has some tips on how to manage cravings, but ultimately it is up to each person to take accountability and follow her advice.
If you're looking to lose weight, without going on a strict exercise regime (she has helped me lose weight without spending hours a week exercising beyond biking a few miles to classes each day), and you are willing to do the work, then I would highly recommend that you consult with Angela.

"Angela, the dinner resulting from out family cooking lesson with you was fantastic! The best part was the conversations that sprouted from the experience of cooking together.
